My name is Jessica Raney. I am currently 15 years old and just recently survived a brain tumor. It was a complete shock to
me im just an average person. Right? Wrong! I found i had a tumor by having a grandma seizure. I was sleeping with my mom(which
isnt usual. My brother was out of town and my mom asked me to act like I did when I was a baby and sleep with her. At first
I fell asleep in my bedroom then I woke up and went to my moms room. SHe woke up to me moving around. She thought i was just
trying to bug her, which I'm good at lol. WE had plans to go get my nmails done. We went to the hospitaql and i had some tests
done including: blood test, mri,and more. I later found out i had a "bundle of nerves". I had no clue what this
ment. THey tried to take my mom out of the room to talk to her but I wouldnt let the doctors do that. They came back in to
tell me i had a brain tumor in the left parietal of my brain. It scared me but I kept it in. I did'nt want anyone to think
I'm week and i did'nt want any piddy taken on me. Later that week i went to my first nerosugeon and was told it wan inopperatable.
This scared me so bad i didnt know what was going to happen to me. How long did I have to live? stuff a fifteen year old or
no one should even have to think about. My mom didnt give up. Eventually we found out about the greatest surgeon ever Dr.
Boop. He opperated on me a week or so later cause it was crucial to me living. I was opperated on at Lebohner in Memphis,Tn.
I was treated amazing and owe my life to everyone there life is way to short. I will be the first to say. Cherish every moment
you have on this Earth, because you never know when it will be you last or when something will go wrong. With all that being
said I would really like to encourage eveyone to raise money for some type of charity Mine is gonna have to be St. Judes.
That is where I'm going to get research. i hope one day there is a cure for tumors and cancer. If you have any question just
